The chances for a person to survive without CPR and/or the
use of and AED decreases 10% every minute, Most people do not know CPR
and AEDs are not easily available.
That it is costing Ireland 5000 death
every year.
We want to help to change this.
There are many ways you can help, like taking a CPR course,
getting to know the AEDs in your area, joining a local first aid group...
But most important of all, helping create awareness on the topic, so more and
more people will know all these things and will be able to help.
Cardiac arrest is a sudden stop in effective blood flow due to the failure of the heart to contract effectively. Symptoms include loss of consciousness and abnormal or absent breathing. Some people may have chest pain, shortness of breath, or nausea before this occurs. If not treated within minutes, death usually occurs.
Heart Responder is an emergency app, design to guide the user during a cardiac arrest emergency, helping them navigate with them to the nearest AED.
We understand that an App can not substitute human care, but in moments such as those any help is welcome, particularly in those cases where you are too nervous to think straight, or you simply don't know the area well.
Helping you is our goal
